To leave the shelterers in no doubt where they stood there were
Rules posted upon the walls. This one sets out the rules for
reservations which were introduced to prevent 'trekking' where
people used the shelters almost to live in rather than on a
nightly basis. |

All the shelter's tunnels and bunks where indexed using an
alphabetic system. Signs like this one were located throughout the
shelter so that you could locate your bunk as indicated on your
reservation ticket. |

This is the Shelter Wardens Office which was located just inside
the main entrance. It also contained all the electrical switchgear
and the public address (Tannoy) system. |
